Temporary SUB procedures

If you are eligible for SUB, and are laid off because of COVID-19, the following will apply:

· SUB payments will begin as soon as possible after your lay-off and application for SUB benefits.

· You will still need to supply Unemployment certification, however it will be after-the-fact.

· We will attempt to pay SUB benefits weekly while you remain on the out of work list due to a COVID-19 lay-off.

· Failure to supply your Unemployment certification within 1 month ...

Local 80 continues to monitor the COVID-19 virus and work closely with our signatory contractors on a daily basis to advise action. If you are sick, please stay home.

• The Apprenticeship school is still closed until further notice.
• The union hall will remain open for phone calls only.
• The March 24th union meeting is CANCELLED.
• If you feel uncomfortable going on job sites, please contact an agent.

We are staying in close contact with the other Building Trades and National Building Trades.
