Temporary SUB procedures

If you are eligible for SUB, and are laid off because of COVID-19, the following will apply:

· SUB payments will begin as soon as possible after your lay-off and application for SUB benefits.

· You will still need to supply Unemployment certification, however it will be after-the-fact.

· We will attempt to pay SUB benefits weekly while you remain on the out of work list due to a COVID-19 lay-off.

· Failure to supply your Unemployment certification within 1 month will result in your SUB payments stopping.

· You absolutely MUST notify the Hall office when you return to work to get a work assignment.

As soon as the Metro Detroit area returns to some semblance of normalcy, we will return to following the Supplemental Unemployment Benefit (SUB) Fund Plan as it is written.
